What is an Ex Demo Machine? These are machines that have been used for display purposes in our showroom or demonstration days with customers. They have had very little (if any use) and these machines are all tried and tested through our workshop before despatch. An ex demo machine may have light scratches or some very limited signs of wear and tear consistent with a few hours of use. They all come with a full manufacturer warranty. Recommended for mowing areas up to 8000 sqm the MTF 98 H is a mid-sized lawn tractor for gardeners who need that little bit extra. Powered by the reliable Stiga ST450 engine it delivers consistent performance time and time again. For extra peace of mind Mountfield offer a 5 year warranty for their domestic users. Mountfield are a bestselling brand throughout Britain producing garden machinery for any user. For added versatility you can purchase a tow bar, rear grass deflector and mulch kit. The pin hitch tow bar will allow you to use attachments such as leaf sweepers or trailers. For areas that are being cut on a more regular basis the mulching function cuts and re-cuts the grass into tiny particles that are blown back onto the ground where they disappear into the turf, returning valuable nutrients to the soil. A grass deflector ejects the cuttings through the rear chute where they can be left to wilt back naturally. To move forward you simply press the forward pedal and the more firmly you press the faster you will go. For reverse press the reverse pedal, you can change from forward to reverse instantly so manoeuvrability is fantastic. The 38 inch / 98cm cutting deck has twin untimed blades which allow the tractor to mow over rougher ground without any overlap. The 2 anti-scalp deck wheels will help it to float over the ground providing the optimum cut and finish to the lawn. The height of cut is adjusted through 7 settings from 25 80mm. The grass clippings are collected to the rear of the machine into a large 240 litre collector. This can then be emptied from the driving seat using a simple lever.
