StocksandGreen
A magnet for pollinators, this attractive nasturtium makes a valuable companion plant that helps keep white fly away from other crops. Both the leaves and the salmon-pink flowers are edible and will provide bright colour and peppery flavour in a mixed salad. Flowers June to October. Planting best sown in situ March June. Finely rake and water soil before sowing 1.5-2cms deep. When large enough to handle, thin seedlings out to 30cms spacing and keep watered until established. Alternatively, sow indoors February May in individual pots of seed compost. Gradually harden off before planting out when there is no longer a risk of frost. Aftercare dont apply fertiliser, which will encourage leaf growth at the expense of flowers. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Eventual height & spread 30 90cms.
