StocksandGreen
The subtle rose colour of this stylish foxglove offers a welcome contrast to the hot pink of the more familiar native species, creating a more muted accent in beds and borders. The flowers, very attractive to bees, are carried on stately stalks above a rosette of handsome foliage. Flowers May to June. Planting sow under glass March May. Sow sparingly onto the surface of damp seed compost and press down. Do not cover, as the seeds need light and warmth to germinate. When big enough, seedlings can be pricked out into pots and grown on. Harden young plants off before planting out May June, or September October for flowers the following year. Can be sown in-situ during May and June. Aftercare cut off spent flower stalks to prevent self-seeding. Eventual height & spread 150 45cms. CAUTION: All parts of this plant are toxic if ingested.
