Spalting is present naturally in Mango Hardwood and it is this that produces the kaleidoscope effect in the colours that you see in the timber the softer, golden-brown heartwood and the lighter yellow outer wood that, when considered, complement each other to great effect. The round inner-grain of the timber is reflected both in the top platform and the upward turned base section this offers an attractive parity to the design.
