The popular cut flower and houseplant Gerbera has been upgraded to a garden perennial, giving an amazing 5 months of colour from spring to autumn every year. The world's first Hardy Gerbera in a range of bright, zingy colours, the 'Garvinea Series' was launched to great acclaim across Europe, where the Dutch breeders developed an improved plant with much bigger flowers, and even longer lasting performance. Winter hardy to around -8C (although avoid severe winter wet), and flowering for several seasons of colour, the highly distinctive flowers of Garvinea simply keep coming - up to 50 on a 2-year-old plant. Easy to grow and keep, they're also highly resistant to pests and diseases, making them the ideal garden plant! We love them potted up in bright & bold planters - in a mix of 4 zingy, starburst colours (Opal Fruits if you are a certain age!) you can mix and match your plants to your planters and create an eye-catching display for your patio! Suppled as 4 x mixed colour plants in 7cm pots ready for potting on or planting out when all risk of frost has passed, Garvineas are herbaceous, so die back completely underground over winter, to emerge bigger and better next year.
