Showy and glorious, the scarlet flowers of Lobelia cardinalis 'Queen Victoria' bring a fabulous splash of colour to the garden in late summer. The dark maroon leaves are almost as eye catching as the flowers. Known as the Cardinal Flower, this short lived perennial likes to have its roots in moist soil and grows well beside the pond.
