This selection holds a well-deserved RHS Award of Garden Merit, and its sublime, golden-yellow flowers can be counted on to add colour and structure in borders and containers early in the season. Theyre a magnet for bees and butterflies, too. Flowers May to September. Planting sow under glass February April, gently pressing the seeds into the surface of a good quality seed compost and covering with vermiculite. To aid germination, keep at around 1822C, always ensuring the compost is most but not soggy. Germination can be slow. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick them out into individual pots and grow on. Plant out in the garden, at 50cms spacing when there is no longer a threat of frost. Prefers full sun. Aftercare deadhead regularly for extended flowering and keep well watered. Every few years, lift and divide large clumps. Eventual height & spread 70 50cms.
