Just when other flowering varieties have passed their peak, this delightful Chines Aster comes into its own. Happy in sunny borders and patio pots, it has lavender blooms and makes a useful source of cut flowers for the house. Flowers June to October. Planting sow under glass, onto moist seed compost and keep at 1618C for germination. Transplant the seedlings into pots when large enough to handle and harden off before planting out at 30cms spacing when the risk of frost has passed. Alternatively, sow in situ April May, 6mm deep in well-raked soil, thinning out as appropriate. Aftercare keep well-watered, but nor waterlogged. Regularly cutting flowers will encourage more to grow. Eventual height & spread 70 35cms.
