StocksandGreen
This outstandingly useful variety crops all year round, ensuring a constant supply of fresh greens. Like spinach but markedly hardier, it produces masses of tasty leaves that can be enjoyed both raw and cooked. Harvest all year round. Planting sow March May for harvesting in summer and September October for winter crops. Sow in situ in fertile, pre-watered soil, 2.5cms deep, in rows that are 40cms apart. Thin seedlings to 23cms spacing. Water generously until established. Late-sown seedlings may benefit from extra protection with a cloche. Aftercare pick leaves from several plants and avoid stripping any single plant bare. Keep soil moist to prevent plants from running to seed. Eventual height & spread 50 45cms.
