StocksandGreen This variety has stunning flower bracts of the deepest purple-blue. Its a hardy annual thats ideal for the edges of borders, or for growing in a patio container. The stems can be cut and dried for use in floral arrangements. Flowers June to November. Planting sow under glass February April, or late August September. Sow sparingly in trays of good quality seed compost and propagate at 16-18C. Prick out seedlings when big enough to handle and grow on. Harden the young plants off before planting out at 25 30cms spacing. Alternatively, sow on situ May August. Protect young plants from exceptionally cold weather in a greenhouse or cold frame.
