StocksandGreen
A perfect companion plant in the kitchen garden, where marigolds deter whitefly while attracting pollinators. This variety is prized for its pale yellow blooms and is very effective when used to edge pathways and borders. Flowers and leaves are edible, with a citrus taste that works well in salads. Flowers June to October. Planting sow inside, on the surface of good seed compost, February April, covering seeds sparingly as light aids germination. Keep in a propagator or a warm windowsill at 20-25C. Grow on in cooler conditions and pot up when big enough to handle. Harden off gradually and plant out 30cms apart, ideally in a sunny spot once all risk of frost has passed. Aftercare deadhead regularly to prolong flowering season. Do not feed. Eventual height & spread 30 20cms.
