Perfect for container-growing in a shady spot, this tasty, vitamin-packed watercress is easy to cultivate and can be enjoyed through spring, summer, and early autumn. Much cheaper than packaged watercress, its perfect for salads and soups. Harvest from April to October. Planting sow under glass March April. Press seeds into moist seed compost, and keep at 1618C. When large enough to handle, pot up seedlings into individual containers and plant outside when all risk of frost has passed. Alternatively sow in situ April May. Space the seedlings at 10cms apart, and never let the soil dry out. Aftercare remove any flowerheads that develop and cut back to 5cms to allow the plant to regenerate. Eventual height & spread 50 30cms.
