Unevenly-shaped and impressively large, this variety is wonderful in salads and cooked dishes, and particularly good for frying. Admirably reliable, it can be grown under cover or outdoors. Harvest July to October. Planting sow under glass February April, in seed trays filled with good quality seed compost, covering the seeds with fine layer of compost or vermiculite. Place on a sunny windowsill or in propagator at 18-21C. When seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out into individual pots. Grow on outside or in a greenhouse when all risk of frost has passed. Aftercare support heavy fruit trusses to keep them clear of the ground. Water regularly and feed with a high potash liquid feed when the first truss has set. Eventual height & spread 150 50cms.
