Sweetcorn early Bird Seeds

StocksandGreen
An exceptionally tasty, award-winning sweetcorn that produces three or more cobs per plant. To help with pollination, its best grown in blocks rather than in rows. The cobs can be harvested over several weeks, but the flavour is best when theyre eaten as freshly-picked as possible! Harvest August September. Planting sow under glass March May, 3-4cms deep in pots or modules of seed compost and water generously. Germinates at 18-30C. Acclimatise seedlings to outdoor conditions and, when frosts have finished, plant out 60cms apart. Alternatively, sow in situ in June once soil is warm enough. Sow 2 seeds together and retain the stronger seedling. Do not grow near other varieties of sweetcorn. Aftercare may need staking when grown in an exposed site. Growing in a block allows plants to support one another. Protect young seedlings on very cold nights. Eventual height & spread 120 30cms.
