StocksandGreen
Tasty and aromatic, this foliage of this very attractive herb is admirably drought-tolerant, so this is an excellent choice for a light soil and a sunny spot. Deep blue flowers, much visited by bees, are borne in summer. Harvest May to August; flowers June to September. Planting sow under glass March May, in trays of moist seed compost. Cover sparingly with compost and germinate at 15-20C. Transplant into individual pots when seedlings are large enough to handle and grow on in cool conditions. Harden off young plants before planting in well-draining soil, in a sheltered position. Alternatively, sow in situ in May, 2cms deep in short drills. Aftercare cut back each year in mid-spring, feed, and mulch to retain moisture. Harvest leaves as required. Eventual height & spread 100 50cms.
