This useful annual is a great choice for organic gardens and wildlife plantings. Its hugely attractive to butterflies, bees and ladybirds and grows very quickly, providing excellent groundcover. The flowers are good for cutting, and the whole plant can be dug into the ground as a soil improver. Flowers May to September. Planting sow in situ March September, scattering the seeds on a weed-free bed and covering with 1cm of soil. Water generously and keep moist until germinated. As a green manure, it should be dug up and dug in before it flowers, while fresh and green, and then left for a month to break down and improve the soil. Aftercare autumn sowings can be overwintered as groundcover, and then be dug in as green manure. Eventual height & spread 50 30cms.
