This classic lavender variety is a great choice for edging a pathway, where the intense fragrance of its needle-like foliage will delight you as you pass. The flowers make a glorious haze of blue and are irresistible to bees. Both foliage and flowers can be dried for pot pourri. Flowers July to October. Planting sow under glass February April. Surface sow on moist seed compost, covering with a very fine layer of soil. Germination can be very slow, and seeds may need to be exposed to temperatures of -4C-+4C for a spell, before being moved back to a warmer temperature. Transplant into pots when big enough and harden off before planting out when threat of frost has passed. Seeds can be sown in situ May July, 5mm deep. Thin seedlings to 30cms apart. Aftercare when flowers fade, trim lightly. Cuttings can be rooted and grown on. Eventual height & spread 60 50cms.
