Hardy enough to put on a very early display, this exceptionally pretty marigold has well-formed flowers of a pale sunshine yellow. With their peppery taste, the edible petals are ideal for including in salads, and for garnishing cakes and puddings. Flowers May to September. Planting sow in situ during April and May. Scatter seeds thinly in a well-prepared seedbed, in drills 1cm deep. Alternatively, sow under cover in trays or pots of compost, and plant out when large enough to handle. Seeds can also be sown from August to October and overwintered under glass for an earlier flowering display the following year. Aftercare pick flowers every few days, deadheading regularly to prolong the season. Eventual height & spread 45 30cms.
