Bred in the UK, and specially developed to cope with unpredictable summers, this variety produces compact fruits and is an ideal choice for the smaller garden. It matures early and has excellent flavour and texture. Flowers June to August, and harvest August to October. Planting sow under cover March May, or May June in-situ. Sow seeds on their sides, 12mm deep in pots. Keep at a minimum of 10C. Pot on after germination and harden off seedlings before planting out, when all risk of frost has passed. Plant with 120cms of spacing to encourage good air circulation. Aftercare protect from slugs and snails. Prone to powdery mildew. Water at the base and not on the leaves. Cut fruit from vine leaving a 5cms stalk. Ripen cut fruit in the sun for 5 days before using. Eventual height & spread 50 200cms.
