This tasty British native perennial is a favourite of woodland foragers, who exploit the excellent flavour of its foliage in pesto, sauces, and numerous other recipes. Its pretty white flowers make a striking display from late spring and are a magnet for pollinators. Its fast-growing best cultivated in a container to contain its spread. Flowers April to June. Planting surface sow at any time of year on moist compost and keep at 18-22C for 24 weeks before moving to -4C to + 4C to cold stratify. Then return to 5-12C, where seedlings will germinate. If sowing in situ, plant at 20mm deep and the winter cold will stratify the seeds for the following spring. Aftercare best grown in a container to contain spread. Can be divided in spring or autumn, after flowering. Eventual height & spread 50 50cms.
