Butterflies and useful pollinators flock to this pretty herbaceous perennial, which enjoys a long flowering season and includes a lovely mix of soft shades. The distinctive flat flowerheads are carried on elegant stems above a mound of fern-like leaves and associate particularly well with ornamental grasses. Flowers May to August. Planting sow under glass, onto moist compost, February May, or August October. Do not cover completely as light helps germination. Keep at 18-25C and transplant to pots once the seedlings have two true leaves. Plant out at 50cms spacing when all risk of frost has passed. Aftercare once established, little is required. Prune back in autumn and divide every 4 years. Eventual height & spread 55 55cms.
