The side discharge Mountfield 2448H-SD has a 118cm cutting width and hydrostatic drive transmission. Using the hydrostatic drive is just like driving an automatic car. No gears, just press down on the foot pedal to go then ease off the pedal to slow down. The 118cm side discharge cutter deck fitted to the 2448H-SD is constructed from thickened steel with lateral structural re-inforcements and uses 3 untimed cutter blades with premium pulleys & a Kevlar reinforced belt. Six anti-scalp wheels help the deck to float over the ground so the blades dont scalp or tear the grass. The triple blades are set in the best position for the most effective side discharge cut. The cutting heights can be adjusted through 7 positions from 30 - 90mm.The Briggs & Stratton V-twin engine delivers a powerful 724cc so tackling tough terrain and stubborn growing areas is no problem.The Mountfield 2448H-SD is packed with premium features including a cast iron front axle, large 20 inch rear wheels, 15 litre fuel tank, electric blade engagement, LED headlights and wash port. Side discharge garden tractors are popular with users who have more than just lawns to mow.
