The SP485 HW V from Mountfield boasts a Honda GCVx145 OHV engine, variable speed transmission and 6 pre-set cutting heights. This high quality, self propelled, high wheel lawnmower features a speed variator that allows the user to vary the forward speed to match the cutting terrain and conditions. The transmission is less sensitive to wear and provides more torque than on previous models.Featuring 4IN1 mowing functions, this mower can cut and collect, mulch, side and rear discharge, allowing the user to choose the best mowing functions for the conditions.Simply fit the mulch plug in to the rear of the machine and the grass cuttings will be finely cut into tiny pieces before being blown back on to the lawn. These tiny pieces practically disappear in to the soil where they add additional nutrients and moisture. Mulching is ideal in drier conditions. Cut just a third of the grass height at a time to prevent damage to the grass and mower.
